Privacy Policy

The short version

Duosub runs entirely inside your browser. It has no server, no account system, and no analytics. It never collects, stores, or transmits anything about the videos you watch.

What it accesses

• YouTube captions. On a video page, Duosub reads the caption tracks YouTube already provides and requests translations from YouTube's own timedtext endpoint. These requests go to youtube.com — the site you're already on — and nowhere else.
• Your settings. Your chosen languages, layout, and size are saved with the storage permission so they persist and sync across your signed-in browsers. That's the only permission Duosub requests.

The one outbound action

When you click Look up on a word, Duosub opens Google Translate in a new tab with that word. This is the only time a word leaves the page, and it happens only when you choose to look something up.

What it does not do

• No tracking, fingerprinting, or analytics.
• No advertising, and no selling or sharing of data.
• No account, sign-in, or personal information.
• No access to pages other than YouTube.
