Privacy Policy for Neukaps LinkedIn Auto Connect

Neukaps ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Neukaps LinkedIn Auto Connect Chrome extension.

The extension has two distinct parts, and they handle data very differently. The automation tools (Connect, Bulk Message, Email, Phone, Links) run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere. The AI section is optional, requires you to sign in, and does send data to our server; it is described in full in section 3.

1. The automation tools

• No personal data collection: we do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information such as your name, password, or LinkedIn credentials.
• Local processing: everything these tools need — detecting "Connect" buttons, reading the results on a search page — is processed entirely within your local browser.
• No transmission: results you scrape stay on your device until you choose to download them as a TXT, JSON, or CSV file.

2. Local storage

The extension uses the chrome.storage.local API to save your preferences (theme, the number of connections you want to send, whether the sidebar is open) and, once you sign in to the AI section, your session tokens. This data stays on your device.

3. The AI section (optional)

The AI section is off until you choose to use it. Nothing in this section happens unless you sign in.

What we receive when you use it:

• Your Google account email, name, and profile picture, when you sign in with Google. We use these to identify your account and to count your remaining free notes. We do not receive your Google password, and we request no access to Gmail, Drive, or any other Google service.
• Your own LinkedIn profile, once, when you ask us to analyse it. We read the public content of the profile URL you provide — name, headline, location, About text, experience, education, and skills — and send it to our AI provider to produce a summary. We store that summary and the profile URL.
• The profile of each person you generate a note for. We read the same fields from the profile URL you paste, send them to our AI provider, and store the person's name, headline, and profile URL alongside the note we generated.
• The notes themselves, so you can find them again in the History tab and so the AI can avoid repeating itself across the people you contact.

Who we share it with: the profile text and your summary are sent to Amazon Web Services (Bedrock) to generate the text. AWS processes it to return a result. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored: your sign-in identity is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; your profile summary and generated notes are stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. Both are projects we control. Access is restricted to our server; no other user of the extension can read your data.

Retention and deletion: you can delete any individual note from the History tab at any time. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email us and we will remove it.

What we never do: we do not read your LinkedIn messages, your connections list, your feed, or any profile you have not explicitly given us the URL for. The extension never sends anything anywhere while you are simply browsing LinkedIn.

5. Security

Sign-in uses Google OAuth; we never see your Google password. Our server verifies your identity on every request, and the database is configured so that no client — including the extension itself — can read or write your records directly. We do not use remote code: all extension logic ships inside the extension and is reviewable.

6. Compliance with Chrome Web Store policies

This extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data collected by the AI section is used solely to provide the AI features you request. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to build profiles for any purpose other than generating the notes you ask for.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
