Media Saver · Android package com.neukaps.linksave
Last updated: 28 July 2026 · Effective: 28 July 2026

Media Saver does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. The app has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything the app does happens on your device.

The short version. We do not run a backend. We never receive the links you paste, the files you download, or any information about you or your device. There is nothing for us to sell, leak, or hand over, because nothing ever reaches us.

1. Who we are

Media Saver is developed by Neukaps Softwares ("we", "us"). For any question about this policy, contact neukapssoftwares@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

None. Specifically, Media Saver does not collect:

Media Saver contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no tracking library of any kind.

3. Information stored on your device

The app keeps a small amount of data locally so it can work. This data never leaves your phone, is not backed up to our systems, and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

WhatWhyWhere
Download history (title, file name, size, type, date, folder, source link) To show the Downloads tab and to detect duplicate downloads App-private storage (MMKV)
Your settings (language, theme, sort order) To remember your preferences between launches App-private storage (MMKV)
A one-way hash of a clipboard link you dismissed So the "media link detected" card does not reappear for a link you already rejected. The link itself is not stored. App-private storage (MMKV)
Partly downloaded files To resume an interrupted download App cache directory; removed once the download completes
Completed downloads The media you asked to save Your public media folders (Movies/MediaSaver, Music/MediaSaver, Pictures/MediaSaver) via Android MediaStore

4. Network connections

Media Saver connects to the internet only to reach the address you give it. When you paste, share, or tap a link, the app requests that page or file directly from the server that hosts it, exactly as a web browser would. There is no intermediary, no proxy, and no server operated by us involved at any point.

Note about third-party sites. The website or service you download from will see your request, including your IP address and the standard headers a browser sends. That interaction is between you and that site, and is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. We have no visibility into it.

5. Clipboard access

When you bring Media Saver to the foreground, it checks whether the clipboard contains a web link, so it can offer to download it. This check happens entirely on your device, only when the app becomes active — never in the background and never on a timer. Clipboard contents are not stored, transmitted, or logged. If the clipboard contains something other than a link, it is ignored immediately.

6. Permissions we request, and why

PermissionPurpose
INTERNET To fetch the link and file you asked for
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE To pause downloads when you go offline and resume them when connectivity returns
POST_NOTIFICATIONS To show download progress. Optional — you can decline it and the app still works.

Media Saver deliberately does not request READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, or any READ_MEDIA_* permission. Files are saved through Android's MediaStore, which lets the app write only the files it creates, and read nothing else on your device.

7. Children's privacy

Media Saver is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children. Because no information is collected, there is nothing that could be knowingly gathered from a child.

8. Data sharing and sale

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose personal information, because we do not collect any. There are no third-party processors, advertising partners, or data brokers involved in this app.

9. Data retention and deletion

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. To remove everything the app has stored locally, uninstall the app or clear its storage from Android Settings → Apps → Media Saver → Storage. Files you already saved to your public media folders remain on your device; delete them from the Downloads tab or from your gallery or file manager.

10. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and India's DPDP Act give you rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability over your personal data. Media Saver processes no personal data on our side, so there is no data for us to produce, correct, export, or erase. All app data is already under your direct control on your own device.

11. Your responsibilities when downloading

Media Saver is a general-purpose download tool. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to download and use the content you save, and for complying with the terms of service of the sites you use it with, as well as applicable copyright law in your country.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Because the app collects nothing, any change is expected to be clarifying rather than substantive. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
